Symposium to Honor Andreas Engel's contribution to the University Basel
Andreas Engel, Professor for Structural Biology and former Chairman of the Biozentrum, retired from service to the Biozentrum and became Professor emeritus in October 2010. On February 11th, 2011, the Biozentrum bade farewell to its long standing member and remarkable researcher with a scientific symposium in his honor.

C-CINA Inauguration, August 21, 2009
On August 21, 2009, C-CINA was celebrating its inauguration at the D-BSSE-location in the Mattenstrasse. The official start of C-CINA was marked by a dense scientific program, the visits of the new labs, and the presentation of the state-of-the-art transmission electron microscope, the Titan Krios.
